High School Summer Studio @ Harrington College of Design
Join us for a two-day summer workshop at Harrington College of Design where you can explore and expand your creative side in graphic design, interior design and photography. Students will be introduced to basic design and photography techniques and tools, and collaborate on a hands-on studio project.

Monday, July 21st and Tuesday, July 22nd

9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. @ 200 W. Madison Chicago, Illinois

$120 per student – studio supplies and lunch included

This fun, yet educational, two-day summer workshop offers you a unique opportunity to engage with our faculty of practicing professionals, as well as other high school students from the Chicago area, and bring to life your creative ideas.

You will be given a fictional client who has contracted design teams to create a kiosk that will give them a competitive edge in the H2O market. The three teams will collaborate to create a cohesive brand presence using graphic design, photography and interior design for the design of the kiosk, as well as graphic identity and photography for advertising campaign.

The process of Interior Design employs creativity and graphic communication skills. Harrington College of Design's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design Program is designed to develop these skills through problem-solving in two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. The student is challenged to develop critical thinking, conceptualization, and spatial visualization abilities. These skills can form the foundation for both hands-on and digital design and communication tools, which are integrated with an understanding of the interior environment in the design studio.......................................
